Job Description



Directs the company's Accounting Department and serves as a member of the Senior Management team which aids the President/CEO in formulating and administering organization policies by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers. 



  • Serves as a member of the Senior management committee and participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives for the company
  • Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department progress towards stated goals and objectives
  • Advises the President regarding foreign exchange towards purchases
  • Responsible for the performance of Accounting department staff members and enforcement of all company directives and policies outlined in the handbook
  • Oversees the pro-active development, introduction, implementation and ongoing refinement of procedures and processes, ultimately resulting in the timely and accurate performance of duties
  • Resolves conflicts and facilitates changes in structure of the Accounting and Finance group to ensure objective fulfillment and swift response to problems and opportunities
  • Ensures a superior customer service level for internal as well as external customers
  • Oversees, establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all financially related data and issues throughout the business community
  • Directs financial planning and accounting practices, its relationship with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community by performing duties personally and/or through subordinates
  • Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, real estate, long range forecasting and insurance activities for the organization
  • Directs Accounting Manager in providing and directing procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services
  • Accurately projects cash flow on a monthly basis for an 18-month period
  • Appraises financial position and issues periodic reports on financial stability, liquidity and growth.  Oversees and directs the preparation and issuance of the corporation's annual report
  • Accumulates departmental data and prepares annual budget
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required


  • Provides career development, training, support and management to the department's employees
  • Establishes annual objectives of department personnel and personally performs annual reviews or sees that they are performed
  • Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations.


  • Ability to interact and negotiate with high-level executives communicating verbally and written with confidence and clarity utilizing good presentation skills and appearance
  • Ability to work within a team environment supporting team objectives
  • Knowledge of Gross Margin and Gross Mark up
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as margins, discounts, interest, commissions and percentages
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and/or government regulations
  • Good writing ability including; correspondence and promotional materials
  • Ability to develop long-term plans and programs and to evaluate work accomplishments
  • Ability to apply and adapt practices and techniques to the special requirements of owners
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, team members, and the general public
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism from supervisor
  • Ability to follow company policies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other company software systems 


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and minimum 10 years experience in management accounting and finance 
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 
  • CPA or MBA in accounting preferred
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
