MARKETING SPECIALIST


POSITION PURPOSE:  

This position manages key client accounts, develops and executes various B2B marketing incentive programs, takes part in meeting and event planning, as well as plays a vital role in corporate Galactic marketing strategies and communications within the Marketing & Loyalty departments. This position will have a hand in corporate branding and SEO, social media and blogging, PR, internal communications, marketing analytics, and everything in between.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·         Serves as primary marketing client contact by developing and maintaining marketing programs, budgets and timelines for multiple clients

·         Key player in developing and maintaining corporate lead strategies, sales materials, and various content for corporate marketing including social media, blogging and SEO all according to brand standards

·         Proactively analyzes incentive programs and adjusts strategies and tactics to increase effectiveness to the clients’ organization

·         Provides support and creative direction related to marketing programs and projects, including; sourcing, email campaigns, presentations, theme and concept development, copywriting, proofing, wireframes, art designs, signage, etc.

·         Leads the design, execution and optimization of various meetings, events and tradeshows

·         Develops and maintains positive client relationships, and resolves client and participant concerns

·         Ensures the completion of projects in a timely manner-being highly sensitive to deadlines

·         Oversees and manages vendor relationships to execute marketing initiatives on time and on budget

·         Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

 

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·         Works closely with other departments (i.e. sales, systems, creative, travel, accounting, purchasing) insuring these areas has the benefit of the Marketing & Loyalty team expertise

·         Assists the Marketing & Loyalty Manager with various corporate marketing projects, proposals and presentations.

·         Analytically-minded and enjoy digging into multiple data sources, compiling reports, and adjusting marketing spend and tactics accordingly while communicating effectively to clients

·         Proven in delivering measured results through planning, managing, and executing marketing initiatives and strategies

·         An excellent communicator who works well with all levels of employees in the organization

·         Excited by constant collaboration with multiple internal departments to coordinate marketing activities and initiatives from beginning to end

·         Self-motivated, nimble and highly results-driven in a deadline-driven environment

·         A left and right brain marketer able to blend creative and strategic together along with leadership to help achieve its growth goals.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Bachelor's degree in business administration strongly preferred

·         3-5 years of experience in B2B program/account management required

·         2 years of experience in content creation, copywriting, and/or meeting planning preferred

·         Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word) required

·         Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator preferred

·         Google Apps (Google Drive, Analytics, Ads) required

·         Customer centric - Works directly with B2B clients managing multiple projects while meeting deadlines and budgets

·         Adaptable - Able to shift priorities and work flow according to customer demands

·         Creative writer - Writes copy, creates content and develops routine correspondence for the client

·         Orator - Speaks effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

·         Problem solver - Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

·         Self-starter - Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

·         Self-motivator - Able to develop long-term plans and programs and to evaluate work accomplishments; able to apply and adapt practices and techniques to the special requirements of senior management

·         Results-oriented - Follow through and organized enough to keep other departments on track to meet department and/or company objectives.
